Evaluation and Management (E&M) Audit ServiceThe audit is conducted by a random selection of claims for each physician, NP and PA. Each claim is evaluated by the level of service selected by the provider against the actual documentation in the medical record using the OIG’s guidance for E&M documentation. Our computer program evaluates the data and determines the actual level of service documented. Reports are generated to help your practice and physician to see and understand the coding pattern revealed by the audit. Reports include:
- Individual record evaluation summary
- A Results Report (a report showing the practice percentages for correct claims, under coded claims and over coded claims. Each report also gives individual provider percentages as well).
- Audit Summary Report ( all claims audited)
- Specialty driven graphs comparing your providers against National Standards for each level of E&M service.
- Training sessions may be arranged to go over the audit results and offer educational advice to improve your areas of risk.
