Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA PRIVACY & SECURITY SUPPORT SERVICES)Compliance Support Service’s role in HIPAA Compliance is to assist our physician groups with tools and resources to implement and monitor HIPAA Privacy/Security Policies and Procedures to meet applicable state and federal regulation under the Administrative Simplification Act of HIPAA. We offer a hands on approach in working with our groups and are always available as a resource center for any HIPAA related issues. Our support services for HIPAA Privacy/Security include:
Assessment- Review established patient privacy and security policies and procedures
- Review established patient privacy policies and procedures
- To report and give guidance on changes or additions needed for policies and procedures
Implementation- Physically assist with implementing new HIPAA compliant policies and procedures
- Template development for Policies and Procedures, Consent Forms, Authorization Forms, Business Associate Agreements and Notice of Information Practices
Training- Employee HIPAA initial training with “Certificate of Completion of Training”.
- Employee Policy and Procedure training with “Certificate of Completion of Training” for each policy presented
- HIPAA updates as they occur (via fax or e-mail)
Help Desk- Question and answer assistance
Monthly Newsletter- Offering tips, updates, and current information on HIPAA compliance
Visual Audit- Report with observations and recommendations (after policies and procedures are in place)
