IPA

Tri-State Medical Group, LLC (TSMG) is an Independent Practice Association (IPA) formed in 1996.  TSMG is an IPA that presently has over 30 surgical and medical practices, representing over 200 practicing physicians.

A 16 member Physician Board, with all practice members invited to attend and participate, governs the association.  Each practice also participates on the Council of Managers Meeting through its respective Manager.  An eight member Executive Committee sets direction and oversees overall association operations.

TSMG was created to assist the Member Groups to cope successfully with the many challenges that face medical groups today.  In utilizing a format of horizontal integration, TSMG provides a forum to optimize:
 

	Quality of patient care
	Solutions to mutual problems and challenges sharing a “Best Practice” approach
	Group presence to voice concerns of local and regional decision-making
	Facilitates in-services and training sessions for medical staff and management
	Multiple user license for publications and reference materials
	Networking new ideas to enhance patient care
	Provides a centralized forum that specializes in unique services
	Local “Messenger Services” between member groups and managed care plans.
	Facilitating in the evaluation of managed care plans
