Reimbursement Verification ServiceMonitoring contracted reimbursement can be time consuming and frustrating, but is an essential part of risk management. Physician practices need to monitor payment to reduce lost revenue and contract accuracy. To assist practices in their assessment of contracted payments Tri-State Medical Groups Reimbursement Verification Service will audit claims payment against contracted reimbursement agreements. The audit will include:
- Review of fee schedules
- Is the payer a contracted payer
- Are your fees being paid appropriately, are you billing the correct codes
- Is the discount appropriate
- Are all fees being considered for payment
- Are you being paid within agreed upon time frames
- Do you have an appeals process
- Assistance with any needed collection’s policies
- Variance report on each payer audited
